This was done for my illustration class. The assignment was to create a line drawing of plant forms as the main subject for a short story or article in a magazine.

I chose to do a metamorphosis of flowers with hummingbirds. I had planned to have gnarly tree branches twisting around the sides, but by the time the butterflies and clouds were inked, there wasn't really any room left.

If you notice small breaks in the line work, that's because my scanner was too small and I had to scan everything in separate parts. Then I had to put them together and edit out all the greying areas since the board couldn't press completely against the glass... it was a pain.
